It’s not every day that you find a wine that’s only sold in the tasting room. You can’t get this wine anywhere else. If I were you, I’d find a way to 2455 Third Street, San Francisco, CA and taste the Dogpatch WineWorks 2011 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. You can thank me later 😉
One day, at the winery, Dave Gifford (one of the founders and wine makers of DPWW ) said to me “Have you tasted the 2011 Sonoma Coast Pinot lately?” He grabbed a bottle and we opened it. After the first sip, we just looked at each other and nodded. Of course Dave gave me a bottle to take home…
On the nose you will find complex layers of cherry cola, spice, strawberry-rhubarb, plum, and a hint of minerality. Full body, lively cherry, spice, and slight oak on the palate. Velvety mouth-feel. Balanced.
Great wine Dave!!
Cheers
