About
Flipturn celebrates the unexpected flips and turns in life. After completing WSET Level 3 and working as a Harvest volunteer in 2019, Flipturn owner, Meg Rulli, took a giant leap of faith in 2020 — having no prior experience in winemaking — and purchased 1 ton of Syrah fruit to learn how to make wine. Through trial and error and the mentorship of talented Oregon winemakers, Meg produced 50 cases of her inaugural vintage, which sold out in 6 months in 2022. She has been making small production wine ever since.
Meg sources grapes from vineyards that put a lot of thought and love into their land and works with varietals she has fallen in love with during her travels. Practicing minimal intervention techniques, Meg is learning (and fine-tuning) her craft every day.
